Melodie Simms has a Bachelors of Music Education Temple University with a Masters of Music with Honors from East Carolina University. She has been an Orchestra Director with the Fairfax, VA Public Schools 22 years. She has concertized as a violinist and guest conductor in several major eastern coast cities with frequent appearances as an adjudicator and clinician. Ms. Simms is the former 1st violinist of the Fairfax Symphony and Concertmaster of the Mclean Symphony. She has studied with David Cerone, Dr. Rodney Schmidt, Helen Kwalwasser, Jenny Hansen and Eugene Alschuller. Ms. Simms has been a soloist for the Bush Presidential Committee, and French and German Embassys.
